Playing
I have performed at Celtic Connections with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and my band, Ape House. Other festivals I've played at are the Rothbury Traditional Music Festival, Alnwick International Music Festival, and the Morpeth Northumbrian Gathering.
I have played live music for various corporate and private functions, such as weddings, conferences, and sessions, for eleven years.
My work with other artists includes playing for The Sound of Dance Project with step dancer Kae Sakurai, and the aforementioned three piece trad band Ape House with Clare fiddler Craig Harrison, and Highland guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Lachie Robinson.
I also enjoy competing, and have won the miscellaneous instrument open competition at the 2018 and 2019 Morpeth Northumbrian Gathering, as well as the 2019 All-Britain Fleadh senior misc. instrument solo.

I also write new tunes, some of them for cello (or "bass fiddle") in particular! Here is an original composition that I wrote during my time with the Feis Spe Ceilidh Trail in 2018:
